My name is Richard Wolfströme. I am an artist and designer whose work explores geometry, colour and symbolism, inspired by patterns found in nature and expressed through contemporary design.
Throughout my career I have been drawn to the universal language of pattern. Many of the geometric forms and symbols that appear within my work are rooted in the natural world: the strength of the hexagon, the rhythm of the spiral, the balance of the circle, and the repeating structures found throughout nature. Across cultures and throughout history, these forms have also become vessels for story, meaning and imagination.
Rather than reproducing traditional symbols, I use these timeless patterns as points of departure, allowing them to evolve into contemporary works that remain open to interpretation. Some people are drawn to their symbolism, others to their geometry, colour, balance or aesthetic qualities. Their meaning is never fixed; it is shaped as much by the viewer as by the work itself.
Every artwork is produced as a museum-quality giclée print on carefully selected archival paper, ensuring exceptional colour accuracy and longevity. Each print is individually produced to order by Graeme Richardson-Locke at Eye4Colour, an accredited printer of The Fine Art Trade Guild. Working closely together, we maintain the highest standards of craftsmanship and print quality.
All artworks are released as limited editions. Every print is individually numbered, signed and authenticated with my blind-embossed monogram.
Prints are supplied unframed and carefully packaged in heavyweight wide-diameter tubes to minimise curling during transit, ensuring they arrive ready for framing and display.
